How often should my motorhome be washed?
If in the elements (not covered) once every
1-3 months. Use a car washing soap. Liquid detergent is a degreaser and will remove any
wax or paint sealant.
How often should my motor home be waxed?
At least once a year. Some sealant products can be done every 12 months, while wax products only protect for 1-3 months.
What is oxidation?
Without going into the scientific description, white oxidized fiberglass can look dull, hazy or chalky. Darker color fiberglass that's oxidized can also look dull, hazy or turn almost white.
My motor home is oxidized what should I do?
Depending on the level of oxidation, the fiberglass will need to be compounded, cleaned or waxed. The difference is compound is abrasive, cleaners are chemical oxidation removers and most wax has some cleaner in it. Unless you have experience using these products do not proceed. Especially, with compound or other abrasives. You can do serious damage to your RV.
